I have finally tackled a jacket!! To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this was something I would ever be that interested in trying. Outerwear, other than jersey cardigans, has always intimidated me. That is definitely one benefit of the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network. Once I’ve decided on a project, I am committed!
As you may have seen from this post, I’ve made one version of the Deer and Doe Cardamome dress so far. I cannot express how pleased I am with how it turned out and I immediately started digging through my stash to find fabric for a second version.
I purchased this lovely quilting cotton from a semi-local fabric shop and I originally was planning to make my bazillionth version of the Megan Nielsen Matilda dress from it. But that plan has been ditched and it is now well on its way to become Cardamome #2.
Do you have a specific independent sewing pattern company that you just cannot seem to get and use enough of their patterns? I do! I am still obsessed with Deer and Doe. I am determined to make nearly every one of their patterns.
My current favorite of their patterns is the Cardamome dress. That bib detailing is amazing! I waited for such a long time to attempt sewing my version of this dress because I was quite worried that it wouldn’t look at all right on me.
In Episode 51, I have a couple of gorgeous finished knitting projects, a few WIPs, near future knitting plans, a touch of crochet, some sneaky yarn acquisitions, and even another sewing project to share with you!
The Reglisse dress is my second time using Deer and Doe patterns and I've become a bit obsessed. Their pattern designs are gorgeous and just my style. The instructions are good, if a bit sparse at times. (Nothing a google search can't help with.) And the finished projects are just so pretty.
In Episode 45 I talk about a recently finished pair of socks, yarn stash additions, finished sewing projects, sewing plans, three amazing books, and a variety of life happenings.
Hello my dears,
It's that time of the month again! My March project for the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network may just be my favorite on yet. I love everything about it and cannot wait for the weather to get warmer so I can wear it all the time! I stitched up a pink and floral, super girly version of the Deer and Doe Bleuet dress pattern.
Hello my dears,
I've finally managed to find the time to film another episode for my podcast! I have knitting, two very successful sewing projects, some stash enhancement, and the usual life updates. It has been over a month since the last episode so I definitely felt a bit rusty. But I am so glad to be back! I hope you enjoy,
